Twins win a dramatic one to beat Detroit

Johan Santana was ace-like, throwing 7 strong innings, giving up just 4 hits with 3 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 10. Justin Morneau, though, was the hero of the day. He delivered a two-run homerun, his 30th of the year, in the top of the 8th to put the Twins ahead and put Santana in line for the win. Read the rest of this entry »

Twins win thanks to the Royals

Two errors, two wild pitches, and 8 walks from the Royals’ pitchers allowed the Twins to get an 8-2 victory tonight. Kind of how the first game against the Rangers went; Twins score a lot, opposing team doesn’t score much. We all know how that series ended. Read the rest of this entry »

Twins demolish Rangers 15-2

In news not related to yesterday’s game, Kyle Lohse was traded to the Reds, who has a GM that loves bad Twins players. The Reds are the team that accepted a Juan Castro trade earlier in the year. The player we got in return is a pitching prospect named Zach Ward, who has amazing numbers playing for the Dayton Dragons in Class A. 7-0, 2.29 ERA, 114 IP in 18 starts, allowing 74 hits, 29 ER, just TWO homeruns, while walking 37 and striking out 95.
