Twins even series against Detroit

Brad Radke had a better-than-quality start night last night, going 7 innings while giving up 9 hits and just 2 runs. Joe Mauer highlights the Twins’ offense, going 3-for-5 with a double and 2 RBIs. He raised his league-leading average to .367. Read the rest of this entry »

Twins win thanks to the Royals

Two errors, two wild pitches, and 8 walks from the Royals’ pitchers allowed the Twins to get an 8-2 victory tonight. Kind of how the first game against the Rangers went; Twins score a lot, opposing team doesn’t score much. We all know how that series ended. Read the rest of this entry »

Starting pitching fails, Twins lose second straight series

Sorry for the delay, the internet was bad again today. It doesn’t make me happy to report about games where the Twins flat out suck, so I’ll make today’s post short and simple. Read the rest of this entry »

Two games in one post

The internet has been extremely bad with the heat wave (the reason for lack of and late posts recently), so this is the second time I’m typing this post as the first one did not save.

I won’t dwell on Saturday night’s loss too much, because there’s a lot to cover with the win today. Brad Radke pitched just 3 innings on Sat., giving up 7 hits and 4 runs. The announcers were talking about how Brad said he isn’t feeling 100% because of his shoulder problem. Well, I hope they can get that fixed because if we make it to the playoffs, and don’t get another good starter by tomorrow afternoon, he’ll have to start at least once per series and he’ll need to be effective. Twins tied with White Sox, big series ahead.

I think I have accurate stats to the right of the site now, I’ll check with my advanced stats and with the counter later to see if it’s working properly. Also, I put in a search bar above that so you can search for a specific word if you want (if you’re searching for articles on a certain player, clicking their name under the Categories feature is probably easier). Hello boys, I’m baaack. Twins win Tribe series, take opener from ChiSox.

Thanks to Independence Day for the quote.

While I was gone, the Twins went 8-1, sweeping the Indians, and the Devil Rays, and then winning the series Sunday night against the Indians again. Monday night saw the Twins gain a game on the White Sox, and this series could be a big momentum swinger, depending on how we do. Read the rest of this entry »

Twins tie…excuse me, Tyner ties the series at 1. July 14th game

Jason Tyner, yesterday’s late night replacement for the injured Lew Ford, was the MVP in everyone’s minds of tonight’s 3-2 win against the Cleveland Indians. Read the rest of this entry »

All good things must come to an end. July 4th game

Boof Bonser v. Jimmy Gobble. What a ring! Unfortunately, the Gobble rang louder tonight. Read the rest of this entry »

Two games, one post

Friday’s game saw back-to-back home runs by Justin Morneau and Torii Hunter, along with another good pitching performance from Brad Radke. Read the rest of this entry »

Radke v. Marshall. June 25th

Radke pitched extremely well today. Maybe he's turning around and can pitch like this for the rest of the season. He gave up two hits in each of the first three innings (luckily none of them were homeruns), but then proceeded to only give up one hit in the remainder 4 innings he pitched.

I didn't watch the game, so there's not much to say. Torii did hit a homerun, so for you Torii-lovers that's probably a good thing. I don't really care because it didn't win the game.

Bartlett went 0-for-4, ending his 10-game hitting streak and bringing his average down to Joe Mauer's.

Tonight's game is Carlos Silva (3-8, 6.87 ERA) against the Dodgers and Chad Billingsley (related to Don Billingsley?) (0-0, 3.48 ERA). A win would put us 5 games over .500, something the Twins have never experienced yet this season.
